Welcome to Svanemøllen Marina
Due to its location and excellent facilities Svanemøllen Marina makes the perfect base for venturing into the city of Copenhagen or making excursions to the woods or the beach.
Svanemøllen is the most northerly marina in the port of Copenhagen. It is home port for sailing clubs such as the Kjøbenhavns Amatør-Sejlklub (K.A.S.), Sejlklubben Sundet (SS) and Øresunds Sejlklub Frem (ØSF).
Svanemøllen Marina holds around 1.100 berths. There are no actual visitor berths but the regulars are good at turning the signs to green when they sail off, so one should always be able to find an empty berth. Harbour charges include free water which is available from taps on the landing stages. Power is charged at DKK 2.50 per kWh and is paid for by means of a chipcard which can be obtained from the cashloader by the harbourmaster’s office. One can pay in DKK, EURO and CARD in that machine.
Recent years have seen great improvements in the marina for the benefit of both regular berth-holders and visitors.
Shopping and supplies
Only 600 meters away you will find a large shopping area with a bank, pharmacy, bakery and supermarkets. And one well-stocked boating equipment store is situated only 1 kilometre away.
The club premises of the three sailing clubs have restaurants with reasonable prices.
Transport and sightseeing
An eight minute walk leads you to public transport facilities such as buses and commuter trains. Central Copenhagen is a 10 minute journey away offering any cultural experience you could ask for; e.g., Tivoli, the main pedestrian shopping street and Nyhavn.
A 10 minute ride in the other direction takes you to the woods and the Dyrehaven amusement park ‘Bakken’ at Klampenborg, where you will also find the popular beach at Bellevue.
The Louisiana Modern Art Museum is a 25 minute ride away and the Experimentarium®, a popular place to visit for both adults and children, is within walking distance from Svanemøllen Marina.
At Svaneknoppen by the marina´s North Mole, a grassy area invites people to sunbathe and hold barbecues. You will find benches and tables here as well as by the East Mole in a cosy little space behind the toilet/shower building.
Toilets, showers and laundry
Toilets and showers are located at the East Mole (at the tank) and at the Harbourmaster’s Office on the Central Mole. Half-way along the North Mole a temporary structure has been set containing toilets, washing machines and driers. At the end of the North Mole, in the Sejlklubben Sundet service building on Svaneknoppen, you will find toilets and showers for visitors to the Marina.
A payment card system has been introduced. The card gives (free) access to the toilet buildings and the launderette. The card is also used to pay for showers, use of launderette and power. The card can be obtained from the cashloader which is built into the wall by the harbourmaster’s office. The first DKK 50 paid in is a deposit, whereas what is paid in on top can be used for consumption.
When the card is returned to the cashloader, the deposit and any money left over on the card is refunded. Visitors are welcome to keep the card for use when they next visit.
Svanemøllen Marina wants to play its part in maintaining a clean and healthy environment. We ask everyone to follow the relevant rules for garbage and toilet disposal and to keep internal as well as external areas in good order, so the harbour staff can devote themselves to service and improvement of the area. Your ideas for improvements are welcome, so that the marina can be a place you will want to return to.
Immediately after arrival You should register at the Harbourmaster´s Office, on the Central Mole for berth payment.
The office is open Monday – Friday 07:30 – 13:30 and Monday 16:00 – 18:00. In the summer holiday period, longer opening hours are shown on the notice board at the office.
